It's getting cooler and cooler these days. Obviously the seasons have changed from the hot
summer into the cool fall. Now going out with a short-sleeved shirt late at night is not a good idea.
I don't think I have many long-sleeved shirts and I've got only a few long pants to wear. I should go
shopping at UNIQLO. The exact name of the shop is UNIQLO Terrace Mall Shonan.



　Or there is another UNIQLO in Shonandai. There used to be another UNIQLO at Ion Chigasaki,
which was very close to my house, but it's been closed for a few years. At UNIQLO, the prices of
clothes are very reasonable and the shop itself is very easy to go around. I've been no good at
shopping clothes, but I could go and visit UNIQLO alone. The fitting rooms are easy to use.

　The little girl was wandering all alone and she came directly to the rescuer. She looked very
friendly at first, but she was still scared. Then she wanted to come with them and came into the
car. Before they started, they gave her some food. When they came home, they soon went into
the bathroom directly. She took a warm shower and was shompooed and cleaned up perfectly.
After that they went to the vet clinic. On their way home, she went into sleep in the car. She's
so cute as an angel that she'll be able to find a good loving family ASAP. Please God bless her.

　They found this puppy left in a box all alone. Somebody nearby gave him some food and water
until the rescuer arrived at the site. Unfortunately, it's normal practice around here to leave
unwanted pets. He must have been a yard dog because he was used to people. It seemed that
he had a problem with his belly. But maybe it was easy to cure when proper medication was
given at the vet clinic. They hugged him and he became a lot calmer and happier.
　
　On the way, they took him out for a quick walk and he became very curious and playful. Once
they became closer, he became more friendly and never stopped wagging his tail. They enjoyed
playing for a long time. Of course, he loved belly rubs. Perhaps he could have been like that all
night long. Finally it was time to go to the vet clinic. But it was closed because it was a holiday.
So they went home and the boy took a warm bath soon. He was shampooed and cleaned up and
finally he was dried up. Now it was playtime. He was wagging his tail so much.

　Maybe he was taken to the vet clinic the next day and now they have found a new loving home
for the little boy. I'm very glad to hear that. I really hope he'll have a happy life with his family.

I thought it was getting cooler day by day, but I was wrong. It was burning hot today. It was
a strange weather at this time of the year. Of course I feel something's changing. While I was
walking to the dental clinic this morning, I felt a cool breeze coming from the south. I live in Chigasaki
City which faces the ocean. It's about 4 kilos from my house to the beaches. So the south wind
brings us a fall breeze. My vet treated my upper tooth in August, but it came out of the proper place.
He tried to use my old tooth, but it's been put there with a little screw. It seemed that it couldn't
support the tooth any more. The clinic decided that it was the vet's mistake, so they didn't receive
any charge from me. I would insist that it was not his mistake. So I'm sorry for the clinic.

　Anyway every treatment is over and the next time I'm visiting the clinic will be next December or
January next year. Until then I think I'll have to be careful not to bite something hard with my right
teeth. I really like the present dental clinic. I like the dentist and the technique he has.

This morning Aaron Judge of the New York Yankees hit two homers, and Adolis García of the
Texas Rangers hit a homer. I can't believe it because they're doing too great a job. Both teams have
4 games left. Now Judge hit his 37th home run, and García 38th. In order to rank with Ohtani, Judge
has to hit 7 more home runs and García 6 home runs during the rest 4 games. Let's see what will
happen tomorrow. If they hit a home run tomorrow too, we have to doubt that something's wrong
with what they're doing. I think those who are related to MLB don't want a Japanese slugger to gain
the title of home run king. So I doubt the pitcher of the other team gave Judge an easy ball to hit.
Hitting two homers or three homers in one game is too crazy. There's something happening behind.

《We Rescued a Box Full of Puppies》

We received a call for help from a noble man who found and rescued 7 abbandoned puppies in
the rural outskirts of Bulgaria. They were abandoned in a cart box in the middle of nowhere.
After he sheltered them for a time and fed/nurtured then - we took on the role to help with
their caring and adoption.

　It was an emergency call about a box full of abandoned puppies. A good Samaritan found them
and took them to the vet. All of them were newborns. Just then the rescuers arrived at the vet
clinic. They were on another rescue call. On their way back home, they went shopping a lot of
towels or something else for the babies. First one of them was adopted, and then two more
puppies were adopted by a woma. They had to feed them as directed by the vet every three hours.
Now it was lunch time on the grass in the park. It seemed such a job to feed them with milk. They
were all very hungry and wanted to drink much milk. They were so small, but they were like angels.

　Now there were six of them, because the first one went to the adopting family. Then they all
visited the vet clinic. The vet looked so happy to see so many angels. He smiled at each of them.
They're all healthy. After giving them medicine, they all went home. Now the bathroom was a total
mess. They pooed. It was time for them to take a warm shower. I also hope that they'll get adopted
faster. It was such a hard job to shower and shampoo all those six puppies with one more bigger
rescued dog in another crate. It was bedtime, but one of them was still hungry. The rescuer had
to make some more milk. "Four of them are left for adoption." That's what they say. Maybe it
means two of them have already adopted and four more are sill waiting for adoption. Anyway they
will soon be able to find good loving families because they're so cute and gentle. God bless them.

The weather forecast last night predicted that it would be cooler next week. There was sad
news yesterday about 30 elementary kids who were carried to the hospitals because of heat stroke.
At the school it was Sports Day yesterday and after a few events, the other events were postponed
to someday later. According to the morning's weather forecast, it would be an incredibly hot day
all day. Why didn't they think of postponing the Sports Day because they should have known that
cooler days would come later. Maybe the P.E. teachers wanted to finish it soon. Stupid idea.

Late last night I checked the results of Numbers 3 and Numbers 4. I'm sorry that I couldn't make
it. Now I realize that it really takes a long time until I hit the right numbers. For the first time I tried
this year, I successfully hit Numbers 3. I thought it was quite easy. I might have been wrong in
thinking that way. Life's not so easy, I should understand. But I'll keep trying until I make a great
success. Anyway I'll have to give it a try before I'm broke. Come on, I can't be broke.

When will Russia stop envading Ukraine? Now Ukraine is trying to take Crimea (Crimean Peninsula)
back from Russia. But if it should happen, it's difficult for Putin to stop the war they started. But
from the viewpoint of Ukraine, Crimea is originally a part of their country. However Putin is threatening
Ukraine that they might use tactical nuclear weapons at any time. So they're in a very critical situation.
If Ukraine win more, Putin might decide to use the special weapons even if the other countries all
over the world are against the stupid ideas. In one of the animal rescue teams are in Ukraine. They're
having a hard time themselves, but they're still trying to help poor animals left there by their previous
owners. They didn't have time to take their dogs with them. But Ukrainian people have to find ways to
live. The stray dogs also have rights to live happily. They have nothing to do with the human wars.

I haven't been writing in this English diary since this morning. I was checking the results of the MLB
game between the New York Yankees and the Kansas City Royals and another game between the Texas
Rangers and the Seattle Mariners. Now Ohtani leads the home run king race with 44 homers, and Judge
of the Yankees comes after Ohtani with 37 homers, García of the Rangers with 39 homers. Neither of
them hit a home run in today's games. Both of the two teams have only two games left. And during those
two games, Judge has to hit 7 home runs, García 5 homers. For both of them it'll be a tough job to do.

　Japanese players haven't become a home run king in MLB so far. So Ohtani has been doing quite well
now that he was in the Injured List and couldn't play for a long time. Still he is the king. Such a great guy.
For the two players to hit one home run in each game is OK.

《Scared Puppy Begged To Be Rescued Until Someone Finally Heard Him》
An old lady from a remote village has heard puppy screams near an abandoned bus station. After
talkin with her, we went immediately and spent 4 hours searching, however, we didn't find any
signs of dogs at all. Once we went back she called us again and we came the second day and
luckily we found Duke there, alive and well. Though he was scared and shivering, after staying
with him for some time, he quickly accepted us and from then on he became a different dog.

　The little boy was shivering and was hiding in an abandoned bus station. He was also trying to
keep himself warm. The rescuers didn't know for sure if he was an abandoned dog or just a stray
dog without his mother. They waited until he felt relaxed. They gave him some food. He was so
hungry. He cleaned his plate fast, but he didn't drink water. He was not thirsty. On the table in
the vet clinic, he had excited pee. And after the clinic, it was poop time outside. He was looking
at himself in the mirror of the elevator. When they got home, he took a warm bath. He liked being
washed and shampooed. He has had so many cuddle breaks during the day. Now he was hungry
and had a proper dinner. His belly was full again. At the vet clinic nothing wrong was found about
his health. I hope he'll find a good loving family soon. Please God bless him.

　The rescuer was searching for the puppy in an abandoned house and finally they found her
walking down the stairs, or she might have found them. She was shaking, but at the same time
she was curious about them, wagging her tail. She was starving. She ate the food greedily. Then
they visited the vet clinic first. She looked as pretty as the yellow flowers outside the clinic. She
needed flea medication, but other than that she was OK. She met two friendly dogs at the clinic,
but they were too big for her. The next stop was the park. Soon she became so playful, started
exploring, ran around in the park, quickly came back to them.

　Finally they came home. She had a nice lunch. And of course she became curious. Now she
took a warm bath. She liked the warm water and shampoo time. After playing a bit more, she got
tired, and it was now time for cuddles. Now it was a well deserved nap. She needed to take a rest.
Of course she loved the rescuer, but everyone who saw her fell in love with her on sight. They
went to the grocery store and did some shopping. After that it was time for her to meet the Paw
Squadron members. They all liked the rescuer so much that they played all day together. They
were so excited and fully enjoyed playing around. We are the ones who have to thank you people
to rescue so many tiny puppies. I sincerely hope that they'll all find good loving families ASAP.

A kind girl contacted us about a dog she met on the street, and she quit her job that morning to
help him. We named that dog Hope and his story will inspire everyone. What Hope has gone
through and what he is trying is extraordinary.

　Is it true that the more developed our society, the more heartless we humans become? As
more and more dogs are being abused, abused and abandoned by humans. Dogs are our friends,
they are always loyal and love us unconditionally. Whether we are rich or poor, we are strong or
weak, they will be with us until the very end. Animal Shelters is a place where animal lovers can
meet and talk, listen to inspirational stories about dogs with extraordinary energy, and inspire
people to fall in love with them. If you can, please support the rescuers with the information
described under each video. We are working every day so that we humans have more love and
faith in the beautiful life.

　The dog was having a hard time not knowing what to do. He begged passers-by for help, but
no one knew how to help him. Then a girl decided to help the dog and call the rescue team and
waited for them to arrive. She bought some food and gave it to him. The rescuers diagnosed him
with a neurological disease. That's why he was always convulcing. Then they took him to the vet
clinic. The doctor said that he still had a chance. So they named him Hope. He wanted to be as
normal as other dogs. So he tried to practice moving his body, but it was so difficult. When the
rescuer saw him making efforts, he/she wanted to cry. The doctor pointed out that he was also
malnourished. He was neglected for a long time. However he has been doing so fine and he has
progressed a lot. But it was still very difficult for him to stand up. Without a wheelchair, he could
just lie down on the floor. However they thought they had to have hope as long as he would try
his best. He was mentally very strong. Now he was able to move on his own. When they went
home, he also tried hard to train himself. He would take a bit rest, he would soon start trying
again. He continued his efforts. His will is stronger than anything the rescuer knows. Anyway he
is happy at home, because he was loved and cared for there. He has made a new friend. They
can help each other and encourage (love and protect) each other.

　I was really encouraged by this video. The sick dog in the video encouraged me by showing his
hard efforts. He never gives up. I sometimes feel depressed with the situation I'm in, But I have
to remember that I can move on my own. Why don't I try to do my best to live on strongly? I do
wish him lots of happiness and good luck and great health. And I hope that he'll get better in the
near future and he'll find a new loving family to live with. I also have to thank the first little girl who
stopped and tried to help Hope. She gave him a happy new life. God bless you too.

This morning every team of the MLB had the last game for this season. Judge of the New York
Yankees didn't play in today's game, so he ended up with 37 homers this season. García of the
Texas Rangers couldn't hit any homers today, so he ended up with 39 homers. And that officially
made Shohei Ohtani the Home Run King of the American League. Congratulations, Shohei! You're
the first Japanese player to be a home run king of the MLB. We're very much proud of you.

It's been a rather cool morning today. Now I remember that the weather forecast last week said
that we would have many cool days during the next week. Yes, they were right in their prediction.
So this morning I really felt that fall had already come. I know this season quite well. Because most
of my trips to Kyoto was made during this season. Watching colored leaves in Kyoto is so enjoyable.
Do you know when the best time for colored leaves in Kyoto is? Many people might answer it's in
October. But actually it's not. The correct answer is from the end of November to the beginning of
December. You have to be careful with the cold season. It won't snow, but you need to wear long-
sleeved clothes and trousers. Of course if it suddenly gets cold, you could stop at a reasonable
shop like UNIQLO and get a warm clothes. It'll be a good souvenir from Kyoto.



　I don't think the above photos show beautifully colored leaves. The redness of the leaves are
different from year to year. The most important factor is the difference of temperatures between
the day and the night. If it's big, then you'll enjoy incredibly beautiful colored leaves. It's vivid red.
You'll be surprised to see such beautiful leaves that are as red as arterial blood. You can't miss
Kyoto of its spring's ume and cherry blossoms and its fall's beautifully colored leaves.



　The above photos are of the Eikando Temple near the Nanzenji temple. I believe you can see
the most beautiful colored leaves there. The night view is also incredibly beautiful. You just have
to pay 600 yen to enter the garden. This November I'm planning to travel to Kyoto again, and at
that time I'm sure I'm visiting the Eikando Temple to enjoy the beautiful garden.

Meet Kha! In the middle of the empty road, he stood by the side of the road, begging for help. So
many days but he was never taken care of. There is still a necklace on her neck, maybe Kha used
to have an owner before. When I approached, he rushed to me...wanting to follow me. However,
there were times when he was very shy and turned away. Maybe he hasn't forgotten when people
threw him like a piece of trash... Wow, Kha is super friendly.. Begging to be rescued, begging this
kind girl to help him. He hugs the girl to beg...even, Kha bows to her.. Very emotional... He is the
most emotional person I have ever seen. If I were the owner, I would never have abandoned him.
Kha constantly ran after this kind girl. He was taken to the car.. Kha is very hungry, he needs to
eat some.

　I'm very happy to know that Kha would be adopted by a loving family. Maybe he was never loved
by people. When he looks shy and turns away, he remembers the sad old days when he was not
treated as a lovable dog. He is such a good boy that nobody can abandone him easily. He was very
lucky to meet a kind girl who loved him so much. I hoped that he could live with the girl forever,
but instead he found a good family to take good care of him.

　This rescue group is located in Ireland. There are many people all over the world who would be
very happy to take care of poor dogs in the streets. We should realize that they should have the
right to live happy lives. However it's true that in this world there are so many poor people who
have a hard time getting something to eat and drink. Then how could they be interested in poor
dogs or animals. They don't have anything themselves. Then nothing to give to abandoned dogs.
When stray dogs are happy, most people in the world also become happy. God bless them all.

It's getting cooler these days, especially when we got into October. Fall is the best season for
food and reading books. Before we know it gets colder and colder toward November. Maybe we'll
have no more mid-summer days. Around this time of the year, we have to prepare clothes for
a cold weather. Long-sleeved shirts and trousers. I'm planning to visit Kyoto at the end of next
month. UNIQLO will be the best place for getting new clothes at reasonable prices.

　I think I'll also have to get a lightweight overcoat in case it should get too cold at the end of
November. According to the long-term weather forecast, it will be couldy and rainy on the first
two days of my trip (November 20 & 21). On the last day, November 22, it's going to be fine. I hope
the forecast will change for better. I still have lots of time left. Cloudy days are good enough to
watch colored leaves. No thank you for rainy days.

This morning I got a phone call on my cell phone. It was from an unknown number, but I answered
soon. It was from one of my ex-students who I taught at the Kokusai Gaigo Center (KGC) in Fujisawa
17 years ago. She was in her twenties at that time and all the members of her class once came to
visit my house. I taught them English grammar for three months and after that she went over to
New Zealand to study English there. She told me that she had stayed in New Zealand for about a year.
When I was a college student, I also thought of going to the United States, but I was too shy to walk
in big cities like New York. So I didn't put the idea into practice, but she had the nerve to study
abroad. I think she was so great. She said that by staying in New Zealand for a year, she could become
a woman of a strong will. Now she's a strong mother of a child going on to junior high school next year.
　
　Anyway I was so happy to get a phone call from her. We've been out of sight of eacn other for as
long as 17 years. How could it happen so suddenly? I might have written my personal information
including my phone number in the last mail I sent to her. And the mail has been alive for such a long
time. Very impressive! While we were talking on the phone, we enjoyed watching my website. I really
felt my website was so helpful. I'm going to take good care of my homepage for a long, long time.

It seems that it rained heavily early this morning. That's why it's so cool this morning. As a
matter of fact, I haven't turned on the air-conditioner yet. I'm just using the cooling fan with a
lot of water in the its tank. There's no ice cubes in it, but because of heat of vaporization, very
cool air comes out of the fan. Oh, I almost forgot to check the results of Numbers 3 & 4. Should
I do it now? I'm sorry that I couldn't make it. OK, let's try my best tomorrow.

In a small local shelter, I met Tori, a sickly and exhausted dog. Tori had endured abuse and
beatings for a long time. A benefactor spotted Tori and called for help. Tori was terrified, hiding
in a corner and constantly bed-wetting. Gaining Tori's trust seemed impossible. For five days,
Tori remained in a state of panic. But slowly, after fifteen days, there was a glimmer of
improvement. Tori dared to lick my hand, a small sign of progress. Day by day, Tori started
feeling better. After 60 days, Tori slept beside me. Though still shy, he was making steady
progress. With each passing day, Tori grew more relaxed. His weight increased, and he became
a beautiful and friendly companion. And after 130 days, Tori was a transformed dog. He was no
longer the scared and exhausted creature I first met. Instead, he was happy, confident, and
content. Tori's journey from a place of fear and mistreatment to a life filled with love and care
was truly inspiring.

　When the rescuer met Tori for the first time, he was a sickly and exhausted dog who had gone
through a lot of hard days. He had been abused and beaten for a long time, so he was scared of
human beings. He couldn't even bite the fingers of the rescuer, because if he did he would be
beaten even harder. He seemed to be shivering. What was his life like? How could the owner
be so cruel to a scared precious life. However Tori was a very good boy. He started to trust
people again. He licked the fingers of the rescuer instead of biting. He slept by the side of the
rescuer now that he was safe there. I'm so glad that his new happy life started again. I really wish

A woman accidentally saw Iron at the edge of the ditch, she called us there. When we were there,
we did not expect the dog's condition to be like that. What was more surprising was the position
in which he was lying, he was trying not to collapse. All those difficulties could not defeat Iron, he
overcame all the challenges to start a new, better and happier life.

　When the rescuers arrived at the site, he was stuck in a mud puddle and the old dog was trying
hard to keep his head up, because he couldn't get out of there himself. When they pulled him out
of the puddle, they noticed that there were thousands of maggots on the wound. The infection of
his body was extremely serious. When his dirty fur was shaved, everyone had to shed tears to see
his terrible situation. They believed that he was waiting for them to come and help him. Although
it must take a long time to take away all the maggots from his back, but the good news was that
he had a good appetite. He ate a lot and slept a lot after that. It really was a miracle that he could
survive. But there was bad news. His heart was weak and abnormally large. He had a herniated disc
and arthritis. So it must have been very difficult to go to the mud puddle by himself. Someone must
have left him there on purpose. They treated and rehabilitated him. He could now walk a short
distance. After a month, Iron could stand. He gained weight and his hair grew back. But once again
they had a very big problem. There was a malignant tumor growing and pressing on the brain. It was
a difficult decision because his heart was weak. But they asked the vet for the surgery. Before the
surgery he had to eat a lot of food and get nourished. And the surgery was successful. He's an iron
dog, so he can't be broken easily. Not long after that, he was able to walk again. He liked watching
life around him. Now he was discharged and came home. The hair on the head had also grown back.
He was ready for a new life. Nobody knows what kind of things he had gone through, but now he
can start his life again from his younger days. I really wish him lots and lots of happiness and good
luck and good health. I hope he'll be able to enjoy watching life around him from now on too. Please

　At first he was running away from the rescuer. Or he was looking for something to eat. Finally
he was caught. He was starving and he ate up the dogfood greedily. But I wanted the rescuer
to give foon on a plate, not on the ground. They let him take a shower, but the water they used
to clean the puppy was not warm. Do they really love abandoned dogs? After the shower it was
time for dinner, but the food he gave the puppy was dry dogfood. Why not canned food because
he was still a younger dog? The puppy's fur still looked a little wet. Why didn't he dry up the
puppy with a hairdryer? What if the puppy would catch cold? I think it was a good idea to give
the puppy some milk after dinner, but was it goat milk for puppies? It shouldn't be usual milk
for human beings. It's no good for a dog's stomach. Basically I didn't know if the dog was he or she.
Why didn't he take the puppy to the vet clinic. Wasn't he financially good enough to do so?

　I'm very sorry to say this, but I didn't quite understand what he was going to do with the little
puppy. If he really want to rescue abandoned dogs, he has to prepare for the job, He needs to
prepare canned food and clean water. He needs to be capable of letting the puppies take a warm
shower or a comfortable bath. And the most important thing is to take the dog for the vet clinic
ASAP and make sure the dog is in good health. He has already adopted the puppy himself? Isn't
he going to look for a loving family to adopt the dog for a happy new life? Lots and lots of questions
come out into my mind. Tattoos all over the body didn't make me trust the "rescuer." I sincerely

　I'm sorry if I misunderstood what he was going to do. He might have really intended to rescue the
puppy. However he was quite different from the rescue people in other videos. What do you think?

I'm not good at setting the mailing system of my computer. You usually have secret letters and
numbers to set the system. Every time I try to do the setting, I don't know where to get the secret
letters and numbers. As for mailing, you have to send and receive emails. There are settings for
both of them, sending and receiving emails. At present I receive lots of fake emails every day, so
receiving system is OK. But I'm not sure about the sending system. I want you to help me, please.
Last summer I got a very important email from one of my ex-students. It contained a very important
things, so I tried to answer the mail ASAP. However it was not successful. It's been more than a
year since I gave it up. But the good news is that there is a new mailing system and I tried to start
it late this afternoon. It seemed that it worked well. I also tried to answer the important mail I got
last summer. I seemed to have been able to send it back to her this time. But there is one big
problem. I'm not sure if she uses the same computer as last summer. I'm not sure that she's in
a good health to answer my mail either. I'm very sorry for her that I couldn't try to solve the problem
soon. And at the same time I hope she'll be able to find my mail and answer it again.

It's a cool morning that we have today. The weather forecast last week predicted that it would
be much cooler the next week. They were correct. I'm still wearing a short-sleeved shirt and half
pants, which makes me feel a little cold. I think I should eat the second "nabe" for this season.
"Nabe" is a hot pot cooking that we Japanese often enjoy from fall to winter. It's very easy to
cook, because we just have to pour soup in a pot and put some vegetables, mushrooms, paste
products like fish paste, and whatever you like. It'll warm yourself up especially when it's cold.
I often put some codfish in it. It's so delicious. After finishing the hot pot, it's a good idea for you
to put some boiled rice in the soup and boil it. Why don't you try?




　The upper left is called "Kakinabe." We put a lot of oysters in it. It's so delicious that you can't
stop eating it. You see the sliced fish in the lower left photo. It's codfish. It tastes bland, but it
goes along very well with "ponzu" vinegar sauce. Anyway they are so good in a cold season.
　Those photos above are sure to make you hungry, right? What kind of "nabe" would you like?
I'd like "Kakinabe," I'm no good at eating raw oysters, though. I also like fried oysters. For me
oysters are delicious as long as they're cooked. When you try to make "Kakinabe," it's better for
you to put miso (fermented soybean paste) in the soup. The soup goes along very well with oysters.

After a long time, Mom Mikan and her son Shotaro were enjoying wrestling happily. Because they
were making a big noise, her daughter Yuzu got angry and yelled, "Stop it! You're too noisy!" The
mom and the son became silent for a while. Hey, Yuzu, you get mad so easily. Take it easy.

　Tochan is the owner of Mikan Garden. He named it Mikan Garden, because Mikan was the first
Shiba dog who came to his house and everything started from her. For Mikan Tochan is the boss.
When she was petted by him, she looked extremely happy. There is a strict rule in dogs' society
that you should not touch something that belongs to another dog. Yuzu wanted to get the dental
bone from her little brother, she had to wait until Shotaro gets bored of biting the bone. After this
Yuzu succeeded in taking the bone from Shotaro.

　Now it was time to play with their Dad Qtaro. Mikan didn't want him to come closer to the
cute puppies while they were very young, but gradually allowed Qtaro to play with the kids. They
liked to play with their Dad. They often enjoyed playing together. Especially Yuzu and Chataro liked
their Dad so much. Actually Qtaro was no good at taking care of little children, but now he enjoys
it very much. These days most of the time, Yuzu, Chataro, and Shotaro tend to play together. But
this time the partner Shotaro enjoyed wrestling with was the strong Mom Mikan. However they
had a very good time and went too far, which made Yuzu mad at them. "Stop it! You're too noisy!"
It doesn't happen often that Yuzu got angry with the strong Mom Mikan. Mikan has been the
strongest Shiba dog in Mikan Garden. However Yuzu has a short temper and gets angry soon.

　"Play bow" is for a dog to invite another dog to play together. The gentle Dad Qtaro and his two
big sons played bow with each other. However this time those who started wrestling were Qtaro
and Mikan. Mikan has loved dog wrestling so much, and she often fought Qtaro. Qtaro is a gentle
dog, so he is often beaten intentionally by his wife. And when Mikan is satisfied, it's suddenly over.
The black Shiba named Ringo is not related to other Shiba dogs in Mikan Garden. Now she has a
small problem with Yuzu, but the big two brothers Chataro and Shotaro and Ringo are very friendly
to one another. I hope Yuzu and Ringo will be friendly too in the near future.

You might wonder if I don't like cats. It's not true. I like both dogs and cats. But if I try to find
videos of cats, I'll have to do too many jobs. I should not extend my activities too wide. As a matter
of fact, I used to have cats at home. They were so cute, but they were kidnapped by someone. It
was my fault. I let them act freely. I think I had to keep them inside the house. The first cat I had
was very smart, but she was poisoned to death by someone who didn't like her. It's very difficult
to keep cats as pets. I have to make our territory and try to keep them inside it.

I'm worried about my life a year from now. The sum of the pension paied to me every two months
isn't good enough to keep on living. Will I have to start working again? What should I do? Should I

　It was not about a mother dog who's been caring her puppy, but it was about a puppy who was
trying to protect her mother from something that made the mother dog scared. Maybe she was
shocked that some people took her puppies away from the warm-hearted mother. She couldn't
trust people any more. Because they were starving, they came out from under the car. The rescuer
took them to the vet clinic. They looked bewildered. They didn't understand why they were there.
Both of them had some serious problems about their skin. Especially the mother's skin was terrible.
Her skin was scabby and bleeding. It would take several months to treat their skin problems. The
vet prescribed some medicine to give to them at home. The rescuer arranged a temporary place
for them to stay at while they were being treated.

　The dinner they ate at home was the best in their lives. They looked so happy, but it was difficult
to let them take the medicine. They had to take a lot of medicine. The rescuer named them Reina
and Princesa. First Reina had many other puppies, but some people came and take some away. Two
of them were left for Reina, but one of them had an accident. Princesa was now her last hope. That's
why they were always together. Princesa didn't want to leave Reina's side. It seemed that Princesa
was saying, "Please protect my mom. She's lost her puppies and she's still shocked. Please always
pay attention to her. Please make my mom as happy as she was before." Reina's always silent and
thoughtful because of loss of her puppies.

　Their skin condition got better gradually. They ate lots of nutritious food. Finally they both recovered.
Princesa gained weight and became healthy, but it was difficult to make Reina happy. Of course it
was not a good idea to let them live separatey. Some people wanted to adopt Princesa, but the rescuer
refused. Princesa is Reina's happiness. Finally Reina started smiling at the rescuer. Now she's ready
for a beautiful new life. I also hope they will find a nice loving family to adopt them together. Please

A poor dog is coming to a house to ask for help. He was injured... He staggered and then collapsed.
He is asking for help.. A sadness covers this poor dog... Maybe he was just abandoned... He was
malnourished, very sick because he could not find food ... But now he is safe. He was taken to the
Institute for treatment and care. We named him Tribilin. Thank you for watching!

　The boy came to a house and asked for help. He was injured and staggered and then collapsed.
He couldn't find anything to eat and was malnourished. But now he was OK, because he was taken
to a medical institute. They named him Tribilin. He drank a lot of water, but what he needed most
was maybe food. With the sponsor's support, he had a medical cost to help him overcome this
difficulty. It seemed that he still staggered and couldn't walk properly. And also he looked hungry.
I wanted them to give him some food immediately. Shooting his video is not the most important
part of his rescue mission, right? I'm glad to know that he gradually became healthy. Look at him.
He was not wagging his tail, which meant that he was not very happy. Today he was moving to
his new family. They adopted him. Congratulations, Tribilin! You've found a new loving family. He

When I saw the top of the newest Japanese diary page, I noticed the contents are almost the
same as what I wrote down today. They're both about the photos of my ex-wife and Ryoma. When
I see their photos, I tend to regret what I did or what I didn't do to them. Most of the photos show
their happy smiles and make me think why I couldn't protect them. When I worked as a school
teacher, I used to be regarded as a good enthusiastic teacher who did everything he could to take
care of children. But how about my family? Did I try my best to make my ex-wife and Ryoma happy?
Now I understand that my ex-wife and Ryoma should have come first, and then I should work hard
in school. Especially when I had to work as a softball coach on the weekends, I couldn't take my
ex-wife for a trip or eat out together. Frankly speaking, it was not that I wanted to work too hard,
but I had to be a crazy softball coach who didn't know how to take holidays.

　What is left for me by working too hard? My ex-wife is gone and Ryoma has also gone. I live alone
and think of my ex-wife and Ryoma so often. That's why I write about the same things very often.
Maybe you might say that I have to be like a man and forget all about things that happened in the
past. However I don't want to throw away all the memories of my ex-wife and Ryoma. I think it's
the best idea for me to think of them often and go on living strongly. Too feminine?

　When they arrived at the rescue site, they found a puppy hiding in the trash rubble near a
derelict house. The puppy was scared at first, but it started wagging his tail soon. The people
who lived around there said that they've never seen the puppy before. It was the dog from the
signal they got. I wondered why they didn't give him some food and water first. He must have
been hungry and thirsty. Because of lack of sleep and fear, he couldn't get into sleep. They were
worried because he didn't want to drink any water, so they tried with some food. Then he started
eating it eagerly. After eating lunch, he got suddenly relaxed. They were relieved to see that.

　Now he started to feel relaxed now that he had a full tummy. He was feeling safe now. After
sleeping for a while, they arrived at the vet clinic. He was around 2 months old. Because of lack
of nutrition, his weight was a little bit light. He also had some wounds around his tiny body.
Unfortunately he had Ghiardia. That's why he didn't have a good appetite and had fur shedding.
They bought all the medication he needed. They finally came home and he took a warm shower.
He looked so much refreshed after that warm bath. After being dried up, he peed out of joy on
the bed. He looked so happy that they cuddled for a long time. He became good friends with the
stuffed gorilla. Then they gave him some more food and he wanted to eat it so eagerly, Usually
when a dog has Ghiardia, it doesn't have a good appetite. But actually he does have a good appetite,
which means the virus is in its early stage. He will recover faster.

　Thank you very much for taking him to the vet and giving him enough medication. Now he's getting
better very quickly and he really looks so happy. If you didn't go and rescue him from the garbage
place, he wouldn't have chances to live along. Now they're looking for a good loving family to adopt

A cold rain was falling this morning and it was very cold at this time of the year. Today is Sports
Day. The holiday used to be October 10, on which the opening ceremony of the Tokyo Olympic
Games was held. The Tokyo Olympic Games were held in 1964, and the government made a new
holiday in 1966. In 2000, we started to celebrate the day on the second Monday of October. The
reason why they made Monday a holiday was that they wanted to make three successive holidays.
For those who work regularly, having as many holidays as possible is welcoming news, but for
those who work part-time are not always happy. They're not paid for holidays.

　They saw a dog lying on the side of the road. The dog was alive, so they carefully carried it to
the vet clinic. Most likely she was hit by a car and her spine was broken. They arrived at the
nearest vet clinic which was still open late at night. The vet suggested that the dog had been
lying on the road for several days. She was exhausted and dehydrated and she had a hole at her
side. Some blood might have got into her lungs. One of her eyes were damaged and perhaps it
won't be restored. They named her Sophie. Back part of Sophie's body was paralyzed. She had
to stay at the clinic until she got fully recovered. They brought Sophie to a rehabilitation center
to give her chance to walk again. Daily massages during two months. She did different exercises.
She also practiced walking on the treadmill. They did everything possible for Sophie, and she was
learning to walk again. She completed her rehabilitation for two months and returned home. She
was now more socialized and less afraid of people. Now she could run so fast. She could play
with her rescued friends. They are so amazing that they have rescued so many dogs and taken
care of them. Some adoption photos of Sophie had been taken and her story was posted on
social media. Soon after that a wonderful family from Berlin saw Sophie and decided to adopt
her. In the new family Sophie made three new friends. And the mom tried to do everything to
comfort her. Sophie's life has been completely changed by the rescuers. They're so impressive.
They're just like warm-hearted angels. I really wish them all tons of happiness and good luck.

　Norah is now having babies. She went into labor around 3 a.m. and started delivering pups at 8 p.m.
All her pups were out by 11:30 p.m. At last she gave birth to as many as 11 puppies. And all her pups
were adopted and lastly Norah herself was also adopted. She really was a great mother. I wish all of

Now that it's over 13:00, it's getting warmer and warmer. The weather forecast was right in telling
that we were going to have warm days from today on. I've just turned on the fan coolers. Today's

　The little puppy may be around two weeks old. But no one knew why she didn't stop screaming.
The rescuer named her Valentine, because St. Valentine's Day was just around the corner. It

She was diagnosed with brain traumas. She needs to be breastfed and has to grow under her
mother from day to night. Gradually she was able to drink some milk. It seemed that there was
some problems with her liver. She got better thanks to medicine and good food. She's been

We Japanese very often think that grammar is one of the most important things when we learn
English. I don't think it's not always wrong. Because grammar is very important when you write
and speak English. If we live in a country where we use English most of the time, it's OK if we
don't think much of English grammar. But while we live in Japan, we don't use English often. That's
why we need to learn some rules to write and speak English.

　However if you care for too much grammar, it might be difficult for you to use the language
fluently. When I try to read some English sentences in foreign videos, I tend to find many mistakes
and sometimes don't understand what they want to say. But they use English fluently. Then
grammatical mistakes should be pointed out? Well, I want to live in an English-speaking country
and learn to write and speak grammatical English fluently.

　They named her Amma. The tiny puppy was found on the street. She is about 1 day old and
the umbilical cord hasn't fallen off. Her tail was clipped. Her body was wet and cold. She was
taken to the vet clinic. She had to be warmed, cleaned, and fed regularly. They were afraid that
she was suffocating. Taking care of a newborn puppy is not as easy as we might imagine. There
are many detailed things we've got to do. Amma drank lots of milk and perceived the environment
better. She eats more and she sleeps more. She began to walk step by step and she made them
overjoyed. Now it's Day 28 and Amma gets bigger every day and she also starts eating snacks.
Around Day 60, she's very happy with the people who love her. She's such a sweet puppy that
she never complains about anything. Around Day 90, she's an extremely beautiful girl. Next week
Amma will be adopted by a kind woman. They are so sad but this is what they must go through.
She needs her own happy home. Around Day 146, Amma was very happy playing with her new
friend at the new house. They're two close frineds and they can joke around all day without
ever getting bored. Amma used to be a tiny puppy abandoned on the street, but finally she has
gained the happiest life. She's now grown bigger and she's in good shape.

　I'm so glad that Amma survived the difficult situation and got the biggest happiness with a new
mother and the best friend. She could have dead on the street, so I really want to thank them
to rescue the tiny puppy. It was just like a miracle. The tip of her tail was cut off. What does it
mean? She was abandoned on the street like a garbage? Life couldn't be a garbage. Life should
be taken good care of. I really thank God for helping the little girl become a Cinderella. I really
hope that Amma will have a lot more of happiness and good luck and good health. Please God
bless Amma and her friend and their family members.

I have to pay for the nursing insurance once in two months. The sum of money I pay is about
\15,000. Why does the local government want us poor people to pay a lot for many kinds of things?
Even if I get certain sum of pension once in two months, lots of money will go away as taxes or
insurance payment. How can we live? Do we have to keep on working after we're 65 years old?
On the other hand an incredible number of rich people live gorgeous lives. Why is that?

　Today I got a postcard from the Japan Pension Service telling that they're planning to withdraw
nursing insurance fee from my main bank account. It made me feel so depressed. Those who need
money regularly by getting pensiion once in two months are glad to get as much money as we can.
However the truth is that they're going to gain much money from us. You can call us poor people.
I just quit working at the end of this April because of my poor health. And then do they advise me
to start working again? Give me enough medical payment. Are you telling me to kill myself?

to her disability, she was abandoned ... I took her to Vet. A series of tests are conducted ....

　The little girl's leg was disabled, so she couldn't get out of the bush. They took her to the vet
clinic. Now she was not afraid of the rescuer any more. But she couldn't move freely because
of disability. A week later the puppy was welcomed by the rescuer's home. She had a very big
friend and another one. She was so cute and friendly. They named her Minosa. Although she
couldn't move one of her legs, she could enjoy playing with the brothers and sisters at the new
house. She regarded the big dog as her mother and asked for breastfeeding. It was quite funny
that she puts herself inside the food bowl and eats food with that style. She's disabled but she's
having a bright, happy life now. I wonder if it's possible to heal her disabled leg. If it's possible,
I'd like the vet to give her surgery to make it move correctly. I wish her and all her friends lots

I went out of the apartment only when I took the burnable garbage out to the garbage collection
site. I haven't been out since then. So I don't know if it was warm or cool today. Tomorrow's Friday
and I'm going to buy lottery tickets for Loto 7 and Numbers 3&4 for tomorrow. As I wrote before
I've decided to buy the tickets of \3,500 for Friday only. If I feel that buying both Numbers 3 and 4
at the same time is a stupid idea, maybe I'll change my plan to buy less.

This is Jade. She is about 9 weeks old. No, she did not get like this overnight. It's safe to assume
she has been neglected most of her short life, if not all of her life. We wonder how many people
saw her and did nothing to help. Yesterday her luck changed. Someone saw her and cared enough
to do something about it. She reached out to a Rescue, that Rescue shared her and so on. The
moment we saw her frail body we knew we HAD to bring her into our rescue. Special thanks to

　When the rescuer saw Jade's frail body, they soon decided that they had to rescue her. They
took her to the vet clinic. She's gaining weight little by little, but her temperature is still lower
than usual. At home she has a very gentle big friend and it seems that she's taking good care
of Jade. She was lucky enought to meet Eoxy and they played together. Finally she was adopted
by a good loving family, where she has two friends. I wish her lots of happiness and good luck.

Was it warm today or cooler than usual? A woman in the TV news said that she wondered what
to wear to work in the morning. Even if it seems to be a beautiful day, the temperature doesn't go
up as high as we expect. Wearing half-sleeved clothes might not be a good idea. The difference
between the highest temperature and the lowest temperature in Kyoto was about 13 degrees
Celcius. It's much bigger than it is here in Kanto District. That means we could be looking forward
to enjoying vividly colored leaves in Kyoto next month. The colored leaves in Kyoto are beautiful
not in October, but at the end of November. I'm going to make a trip from November 20 to 22.

　Have you see a TV commercial messages of JR Tokai Tours? A guy asked people in Kyoto to
point out three places that are very famous for their colored leaves. Then they answered,"There
are so many popular places in Kyoto that we can't point out just three places." Yes, I agree with
the answer. The conclusion of the commercial messages was that you could see many fall scenes
wherever you might go in Kyoto. However I could point out three to five places that are popular
with colored leaves. 1) Eikando Temple 2) Kitanotenmangu Shrine 3) Shinyodo Temple
4) Genkoan Temple 5) Ohara Sanzen-in Temple maybe.





　The first two photos are of daytime Eikando Temple and nighttime Eikando Temple. Left middle
is the Kitano Tenmangu Odoi (Private Garden) and right middle is the Shinnyodo Temple. Down
left is the Genkoan Temple (the famous round window and the square window) and down right
is the Ohara Sanzen-in Temple, which is so fantastic and beautiful.

　I'm planning to stay in Kyoto for two nights and three days. The whole trip including the hotel
charge and the Shinkansen fee is \34,400. It's very reasonable, don't you think so? It doesn't
contain food, but you don't have to pay much for food in Kyoto as long as you don't use a very
expensive restaurant. You want to eat beef steak or expensive unaju in Kyoto? Stupid idea.

　Is it true that the more developed our society, the more heartless we humans become? As more
and more dogs are being abused, abused and abandoned by humans. Dogs are our friends, they
are always loyal and love us unconditionally. Whether we are rich or poor, we are strong or weak,
they will be with us until the very end. Animal Shelters is a place where animal lovers can meet
and talk, listen to inspirational stories about dogs with extraordinary energy, and inspire people to

　The dog the rescuer met at the site had the same collar since she was a puppy. The owner didn't
think of her growing up. The collar was getting tighter and tighter. Her face became puffy like a
balloon. She couldn't swallow when she ate. So she became weaker and weaker. She had a damage
from the neck up to the trachea. Tissues gradually became necrotic. Her would was serious, so it
was cleaned and disinfected. She was too tired and fell asleep. Her face became less swollen than
before. The woman who found the poor dog wanted to take care of the dog, and the owner agreed.

　She looked very sad, but it was not because of her injuries. She gave birth to her babies not long
time ago, but her babies were sold to adopting people by the owner. The owner just wanted money.
She didn't give up fighting her sad situations. Her face became smaller and her mood also improved.
She may have been abused on a chain. She was afraid of even stepping out on the street. When we
knew what she had been through, we really felt very sad. Now it was Day 30 and Vida was out of
danger. The inflammation and infection were gone. I couldn't help crying that I was just so happy
about her. She always hugged the rescuer, which meant she really thanked her for rescuing her. Now
she was discharged from the vet clinic, and she slept in a warm bed for the first time in her life. She
was so happy and dared to step outside. It seemed that she thought the outside world was more
beautiful than she had expected. The rescuer couldn't hold back her tears. I really wish here lots of
happiness and good luck and good health. I also hope she will be able to find a good loving family in
the near future. Please God bless her. Of course I really thank Animal Shelter for changing her life.

　It was a very inspiring story that Animal Shelter showed us in the video. It was an incredible story.
If the kind neighbor hadn't called the rescuer and she hadn't hurried to the site, her life was like the
hell. How did it happen? Not changing the collar since she was a puppy? Making her unable to breathe
or swallow food? The cruel owner was arrested? I'm not so happy to know that Vida's now happy and
healthy and looking forward to a new beautiful life. I really thank God for helping her.

　Meet Daeng and her baby! They lived homeless on the streets for many days in Thailand. They
lived in a desolate place and had no food. The mother dog's uterus is protruding... She's in a lot
of pain... She lived such a long time... So touching for this warrior mother. Daeng is a kind mother...

　"Uterus" is a mother's organ where babies grow up until they're born. "Protruding" means sticking
out from the belly. What a miserable situation she was in! The mother and her baby were on the
streets for many days in Thailand. They didn't have anything to eat. She was a warm-hearted mother
who would run to protect the baby when it's in danger. Her uterus was protruding, so she must have
been in a lot of pain. They decided to take them to the vet clinic. They named the baby Mata. She
was about 2 months old. Mata had kidney failure and one of her eyes was blurred. The surgery was
successful and they could rest next to each other. Both the mother and the daughter were cute and
very friendly. We sincerely wish them tons of happiness and good luck and health. And also we hope
that they'll be able to find a good loving family ASAP. Please God bless them.

It seems that the Israeli troops have started to invade Gaza to make sure where the kidnapped
Israeli people had been prisoned or caught. That means tomorrow or the day after tomorrow massive
invasion might start. Then an incredible number of citizens as well as soldiers called Hamas will be
killed by strong Israeli military forces. Hamas soldiers are said to be hiding in the tunnels dug under
the ground or buildings. Some specialists insist that after destroying the northern part of Gaza, they
will go on to the southern part too. So Palestinians who have run away into the southern area are
not necessarily safe. The fighting will be all over Gaza. Babies and children will be sacrificed too.
